The House of Tomorrow
16-year-old Sebastian Prendergast has spent most of his life with his Nana in their geodesic dome home tourist attraction where she raises him on the futurist teachings of her former mentor Buckminster Fuller in hopes that one day Sebastian will carry Fuller's torch and make the world a better place.

The House of Tomorrow doesn't get bogged down in genre trappings but uses them to create something sweet and enjoyable.May 26, 2018
A tender story about life, death, and punk, "The House of Tomorrow" is that rare kind of teen film that relates both to the kids and the parents alike.May 24, 2018
"The House of Tomorrow" spices up its story with dollops of honesty, charm and a dash of genuine emotional resonance.May 23, 2018
Put in its proper context... first-time writer-director Peter Livolsi's story of punk rock meeting R. Buckminster Fuller in small-town Minnesota feels like just another hopelessly musty and dreadfully quirk-heavy, Sundance-style mope-fest.May 04, 2018
It's not until the end that everything truly lines up, with Fuller positioned as an original punk. But as a film about punk rock, living on the edge and coming into your own, The House of Tomorrow is a strong debut from Livolsi.July 06, 2018
The boys are terrific, particularly Butterfield, who makes something wonderful out of discovering a grilled cheese sandwich and a can of sodaMay 04, 2018
A charming if not exactly crucial coming-of-age dramedy about the freedom to be found in three chords.May 23, 2018
Part of what's missing in "The House of Tomorrow" is the acerbic punk spirit that inspires its two heroes, which could have been remedied by a sharper script.May 30, 2018
A bit formulaic but well-acted and charming nonetheless, this is a good movie with a great soundtrack...May 17, 2018
It's so amiably predictable that you end up wanting to throw some Motörhead at it, just to see what happens.July 23, 2018
It's an emotionally satisfying experience that brings to life a group of appealing characters and allows them to grow and expand in front of the lens.May 24, 2018
Doesn't quite ring true... but [Asa] Butterfield and [Alex] Wolff's terrific chemistry more than makes up for it. Those crazy kids have a bright tomorrow.
